My favourite musical is Les Misérables, I have been nine times over the years, including twice at the Palace Theatre (above) in London. Most recently Marybeth and I went to see the final Los Angeles tour engagement at the Pantages on 9 June 2006.

Yes, only 7 stars for Les Misérables, it is the performance... when I saw Les Mis the first time in London the production was so amazing that I commented that it would be worth going to London just to see Les Mis again. Yes, a 10 hour each way flight for $600 and $100 per ticket to Les Mis. After seeing Les Mis so many times I can tell the difference between a mediocre performance and a phenomenal performance, and this performance was mediocre at best. In fact, when I saw Les Mis in Tennessee on 1 October 2000 it was much better than the Pantages and nearly as good as London.
